Military Coatings
AST/ACME is the exclusive refurbishment contractor for Raytheon
Missile Systems' Phalanx Weapons System, as well as the Sea-Ram
and RAM refurbishment efforts.
We conform to WS33111, TT-C-490 Cleaning and Navy Drawing
7250920. AST/ACME also follows CARC MIL-Spec DTL-53072.
We are also BAE-qualified to paint to these specs.
Below are some examples of many of our in-stock coatings, as well
as photos of selected painted equipment/parts.
However, we are not limited in our ability to apply any required
MIL-Spec coating.

Conversion Coating MIL-DTL-5541 Type II
Our 5541 Type II dip tank is 6' x 6' x 6'. AST/ACME can hand-apply 5541 Type I or dip small parts.
MIL-DTL-16232 Phosphate
Our Phosphate tank is 4' x 3' x 3'.
MIL-DTL-24441/20 Type III Formula 150
We also stock 24441/21 Type III Formula 151.
MIL-PRF-85285D Type II Class H
Colors: 26270 Haze Gray, 33446 Desert Tan and 23538 Yellow.
MIL-DTL-46010D Type II Dry Film Lubricant
Formerly SAE Spec AS5272C Type II
LSA Light Gray Silicone Alkyd Enamel Type ll
This is a Low Solar Absorbancy coating.
MIL-DTL-53039 Type II
Color 33446 Desert Tan is stocked. Colors 37030 Black and 34094 Green are available by order.
